Benjamin Jones
Director of Operations / Owner
Prior to co-founding JFTS, Ben Jones served nine years as a Forestry Technician with the USDA Forest Service. He brings federal-grade expertise directly to every JFTS project and is highly skilled in the safe and efficient execution of complex wildland fire and forestry operations. He has a diverse background in risk analysis and hazard mitigation while managing different types of people, resources, and heavy equipment.
Husband to Marie and father of two, in his off time he enjoys whitewater rafting, building and creating, and spending time with his family.

Florentina Marie Jones

Marie writes the contracts and runs the business. We like to say, Ben manages the crews, and she does the rest. As CEO, Marie leads business operations, strategic planning, grant writing, and client relationships — bringing the organizational discipline and community focus that has allowed JFTS to scale rapidly since its founding.
Wife, mother of two, avid whitewater enthusiast and lover of all that nature has to offer. Marie holds an Associate of Arts in Business Management from College of the Redwoods and brings hands-on experience in project planning, grant writing, and multi-agency coordination. Her background reflects both the academic foundation and the real-world grit that running a field-based forestry operation in Far Northern California demands.

Our Crew
We have both a residential tree service crew and a forestry and fuels reduction crew. Both are staffed with highly qualified, profesional, and motivated people.
We focus on supporting and training our staff, and like to think of them as part of our family.
